SEISMED first aid attendants are certified to work in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. All of our first aid attendants have experience working in remote locations and hold one or more of the following:

  • EMR
  • EMT
  • EMT-P
  • BC OFA Level 3
  • Advanced First Aid
  • Military Medic
  • First Aid Instructor


  • H2S Alive
  • Level C CPR
  • Bear Awareness
  • WHMIS


  • Map reading - using maps and pins to effectively monitor all crew locations on seismic jobs
  • Medivac procedures for heli-portable jobs
  • Proper radio procedures
  • Helicopter safety
  • Flight & safety watch

SEISMED first aid attendants undergo a comprehensive orientation program to prepare for work in the field and to ensure that SEISMED's policies and procedures are thoroughly understood and adhered to.

SEISMED's Medical Director and a member of our management team are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support our medics in the field.
